The Trump administration is currently in talks for a potential summit between the United States and Russia, according to a Wall Street Journal report Friday night.
According to the report, “The White House is planning for a potential summit between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to people familiar with the efforts, a meeting that would bring to the international stage one of the world’s most enigmatic political relationships and possibly ease tensions that have grown to Cold War proportions.”
If the Summit between Trump and Russia takes place it would be third time the leaders met and had discussions. Topics for the discussion would likely include Syria and nuclear arms control.
The WSJ report comes on the same day as Trump announced that the summit with North Korea, which had at one point in time been canceled, was now back on and would proceed, as planned, on June 12.
